Fun fact 12/24/2016

The foil placed over corks on wine bottles is called a capsule. The purpose of the capsule was originally to prevent rodents and cork weevils from eating the cork and sipping the wine. This was often the cause of dank wine cellars – rodents who love dank wine cellars would nibble at the corks and drink the wine!
