Fun fact 4/3/16

Poodles are so wonderful, but what’s up with the unique haircut? This very particular haircut dates back to early 17th century Europe when poodles were bred for water retrieving; the hair on the bottom half of the poodle is kept short in order to minimize weight, the hair over the poodles’ chests and heads is kept long to keep major organs warm, the tufts of hair around the ankles is to protect joints from rheumatism.
